The Miami CTSI is pleased to announce Sonya Kaur, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Clinical Neurology, is the newest recipient of its Mentored Research Career Development Program Award (K12).training to age well.
Through her study, Dr. Kaur seeks to enhance an understanding of Alzheimer’s Disease risk in Hispanic/Latino adults and obtain much needed information that will guide future interventions.
Hispanic/Latino adults are up to four times more likely to develop Alzheimer’s than non-Hispanic whites and may present with unique risk factors for the disease.
